MoonPay is seeking an exceptional Staff Software Engineer to own PayBox and guide it through its next stage. You’ll work closely with the Chief Engineer on a small, focused team in a role closer to founding engineering than traditional staff roles.

We expect you to identify what matters, reason through tough problems, and ship end-to-end with ownership and accountability, while leveraging AI to accelerate delivery and maintain technical judgment.

Responsibilities

• Own significant PayBox end-to-end problems from identification to production.
• Drive 0→1 development and growth for a recently launched product.
• Build payment and peer-to-peer experiences designed for AI interfaces.
• Develop integrations across AI platforms, apps and PayBox ecosystem.
• Improve infrastructure and experiences to onboard new apps and integrations.
• Collaborate with Product to translate ideas into simple user experiences.
• Refine onboarding and UX to reduce friction for users.
