MoonPay is seeking an exceptional Staff Software Engineer to own PayBox and steer its next phase. You will work with the Chief Engineer and a focused team, acting as a founding engineer to shape architecture, interactions, and end-to-end delivery across AI-enabled payments.

Expect ownership, fast iterations, and high accountability in a high-growth environment. You’ll join a small team tackling 0→1 growth, onboarding UX details, and integrations, while using AI extensively to accelerate impact

Responsibilities

• Own significant PayBox areas end-to-end from problem to production.
• Drive 0→1 development and growth for PayBox.
• Build payment and peer-to-peer experiences for AI interfaces.
• Create integrations across AI platforms and PayBox ecosystem.
• Develop infra and product experiences for new apps on PayBox.
• Collaborate with Product to turn ideas into simple experiences.
• Polish onboarding and UX to reduce user friction.
• Reason from first principles on hard problems and decisions.
• Move across product and stack to tackle high-impact problems.
• Leverage AI to accelerate output while maintaining judgment.
