Job summary

CVS Health seeks a Staff Engineer to lead architecture, development, and scaling of core applications in Oklahoma City. You will bridge backend data systems, AI capabilities, and frontend experiences, mentoring teams and embedding AI features to automate workflows.

You will own dashboards, microservices, and integrations with external systems while driving DevOps culture, IaC, and cloud best practices to ensure operational excellence across the stack.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on full‑stack development, system architecture, and scalable applications.
• Mastery of modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and experience with complex state management and data visualization libraries.
• Deep expertise in server‑side languages and frameworks and proven ability to design scalable microservices.
• Relational and NoSQL databases, ORMs, and integrating high‑volume data feeds.
• Hands‑on experience with AI models and APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) and AI orchestration (LangChain).
• Public cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP) and CI/CD tools, containers, and Terraform/CloudFormation.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architecture & Full Stack Development: Lead end‑to‑end design and development of scalable web applications with responsive frontends and robust backend services.
• Dashboarding & Data Visualization: Build rich, interactive dashboards surfacing complex data insights.
• Backend & Data Integrations: Create secure APIs and integration layers connecting diverse data objects and systems.
• AI Enablement & Implementation: Integrate AI/ML capabilities to automate workflows and enhance products.
• DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure: Drive CI/CD, containers, and IaC for high availability and rapid releases.
• Operational Excellence: Establish monitoring, logging, and performance profiling across the stack.
• Technical Leadership & Mentoring: Guide engineers, set coding standards, and align with product roadmap.
• Self Starter: Tackle ambiguous requirements and clarify with stakeholders.
