Job summary

Lambda is hiring a Staff Engineer to shape the managed Kubernetes bare-metal platform for AI workloads. You will influence architecture, lead cross-functional teams, and drive technical strategy across orchestration, network, storage, and security.

You will collaborate with NVIDIA, contribute to open-source ecosystems, and deliver reliable, high-performing cloud infrastructure for AI training and inference at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software/platform engineering or SRE, with 5+ years in Kubernetes at scale.
• Holistic infra expertise across compute, network, storage and security.
• Strong Go and Python production coding skills.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for Kubernetes services across the Orchestration team.
• Drive design reviews and ensure scalable, maintainable systems.
• Mentor engineers and influence infra direction beyond your scope.
• Collaborate with Network, Storage, Security, and Customer Success teams.
• Partner with NVIDIA and open-source communities to advance GPU orchestration.
