Job summary

Lambda is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Compute pillar to define the technical vision for the next-gen GPU/CPU host lifecycle and compute control plane. You will bridge high-level distributed systems with hardware integration to enable scalable cloud provisioning and lifecycle management across a massive compute platform.

You will lead senior engineers across teams, drive cross-functional initiatives, and ensure enterprise-grade SLAs for AI researchers and CSPs, with a focus on

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in compute control plane distributed systems for deployment and lifecycle management of heterogeneous compute platforms.
• Deep expertise in durable execution models and distributed systems used in cloud provisioning.
• Basic knowledge of software defined networking informing multi-tenant security.

Responsibilities

• Designing a highly available GPU/CPU host and instance lifecycle control plane.
• Guide decisions on semiconductor architecture, BIOS/firmware, boot methodologies, and DPU utilization.
• Lead multi-team initiatives and design reviews for enterprise-grade cloud software.
