Job summary
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Baltimore, MD, seeks a Staff Embedded Software Engineer to develop mission-system software in C/C++. You will work across the software lifecycle, implementing robust, secure code within a DevSecOps framework and agile practices while collaborating with a sensor development team.
The role requires a current Secret Clearance and willingness to obtain Special Program Access, with about 10% travel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related STEM Degree.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Must have a current/active Secret Clearance and be able to obtain Special Program Access.
- 10 years' experience with C/C++.
- 10 years' experience with real-time embedded software.
- 10 years' experience with full software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, develop, and modify existing software using modern development techniques.
- Identify risks, mitigation, defects, resolutions, and report status.
- Design, build, and execute unit tests; develop verification test plans and report results.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams to test software on simulators and production hardware in System Integration Labs.
- Assess new technologies prior to implementation.
- Engage with systems engineering for end-to-end system satisfaction.
