Job summary

Ford Motor Company is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for the Advanced EV and Software group in the US. You will own the vehicle access authentication path, including transaction authorization, lock/unlock, and remote functions across Digital Key and Key Card.

Lead architecture and embedded software development for ECUs, leveraging Bluetooth, UWB, NFC, and RF. Collaborate across systems, hardware, validation, and cybersecurity teams to deliver end-to-end vehicle access solutions.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer/Electrical Engineering, CS or related field required.
• 8+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Embedded C programming and Python scripting.

Responsibilities

• Own components of the vehicle access authentication path and related Digital Key / Key Card flows.
• Architect and develop embedded software for Vehicle Access ECUs on RTOS/Embedded Linux.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, validation, cybersecurity, and mobile teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Write and review embedded software in C, and use Python for automation and testing.
• Define interfaces and software architecture between vehicle systems, credentials, and external devices.
