Compunnel, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer to architect and develop Vehicle Access and Digital Key features for automotive ECUs. You will work across embedded platforms, wireless technologies, and integration teams.

The role requires strong C, Python, CCC standards, and deep knowledge of Bluetooth, UWB, NFC, CAN, and Automotive Ethernet in real-time systems. Collaboration with hardware, cybersecurity, and validation teams is essential to deliver secure, scalable

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
5+ years of professional experience developing embedded software.
Strong proficiency in Embedded C programming.
Strong Python scripting and automation experience.
Hands-on experience with Vehicle Access systems or Digital Key technologies.
Experience working with Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC) standards.
Strong understanding of Bluetooth, UWB, NFC, RF communication and wireless architectures.
Experience developing software for automotive ECUs and embedded real-time systems.
Knowledge of vehicle communication architectures and embedded software development processes.
Experience debugging and troubleshooting software across hardware, firmware, and system levels.

Responsibilities

Architect and develop embedded software for Vehicle Access systems running on Body Controls ECUs and real-time platforms.
Design, implement, and maintain Digital Key functionality utilizing CCC standards.
Develop software supporting vehicle access features using Bluetooth, UWB, NFC, and RF technologies.
Collaborate with systems, hardware, validation, cybersecurity, and mobile teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Create and enhance embedded software written in C with Python for automation and testing.
Define and implement software interfaces between vehicle systems and external devices.
Support vehicle integration, debugging, and bring-up activities on prototype and production vehicles.
Troubleshoot complex software, connectivity, and RF issues across vehicle and mobile ecosystems.
Participate in design and code reviews to ensure robust architectures.
Drive software quality through testing, automation, and root-cause analysis.
