Job summary

Ford Model E Platform Architecture Engineering is seeking a Staff Embedded Software Engineer to design and implement a new software stack for an advanced infotainment controller. You will contribute to vehicle access, networking and power management across domains to enhance performance and user experience.

You will collaborate with hardware, software and systems teams, develop CI/CD test cases, and lead efforts to diagnose and improve features across Ford EVs.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Hands-on development and troubleshooting of embedded systems.
• Proficient in C, C++ and Python.
• Experience with RTOS, Linux, and concurrent systems.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Willing to learn and explore new areas.

Responsibilities

• Define, design and develop complex features for Ford EVs with multiple stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Hardware, Systems and Integration teams to derive requirements and test cases.
• Lead efforts to diagnose and improve existing features for customer experience.
• Work with software, hardware, integration and UI/UX teams to drive innovation.
• Develop tooling and interfaces between vehicle access components.
• Integrate software into the controller’s codebase.
• Use data-driven analysis to verify vehicle software in the field.
