Resonant Link Medical is seeking a Staff Embedded Engineer to own firmware across multiple medical device platforms, blending embedded software with power electronics. You will work hands-on with hardware, drive IEC 62304 compliance, and mentor teammates while delivering production-ready firmware for implantable devices.

Qualifications

• Experience developing embedded software per IEC 62304, with lifecycle, requirements, architecture, risk controls, and traceability.
• Ability to independently drive architecture, implementation, hardware integration, verification, and production release.
• Strong embedded C and firmware skills for MCUs, RTOS or bare-metal, peripherals, and production-grade code.
• Hands-on hardware–software integration with board bring-up, schematics interpretation, oscilloscope/logic analyzer use.
• Strong verification, documentation, and communication, with experience in testing and lifecycle records.

Responsibilities

• Own embedded software development across product platforms from requirements through release.
• Shape firmware architecture and direction for scalable software designs.
• Establish IEC 62304 practices with requirements, architecture, risk controls, and traceability.
• Build internal software development expertise and reduce external dependencies.
• Own software safety requirements and risk controls for IEC 60601 compliance.
• Develop production firmware with drivers, interfaces, communications, and charging functions.
• Collaborate with controls and electrical engineers to integrate new charging capabilities.
• Debug hardware and firmware with schematics and lab tools to identify root causes.
