Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Staff Embedded Engineer based in the United States to lead embedded software architecture for implantable medical devices. You will own the firmware lifecycle from requirements through release, collaborating with electrical, controls, systems, quality, and test teams.

This hands-on leadership role emphasizes scalable design, IEC 62304 compliance, hardware integration, and robust verification strategies to deliver safe, reliable medical device technologies.

Qualifications

• Experience developing embedded software per IEC 62304 lifecycle processes.
• Proven ownership of complex embedded software projects including architecture, implementation, hardware integration, verification and production release.
• Strong embedded C programming and firmware architecture skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead embedded software development across product platforms from requirements to production release.
• Define firmware architecture and technical direction for scalable, maintainable designs.
• Establish internal software development processes aligned with IEC 62304 and IEC 60601 risk controls and traceability.
• Develop production firmware with drivers, interfaces, and charging capabilities; integrate with hardware.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.
