Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS) in Austin, TX seeks a Staff Engineer, Electronics Architect to lead end-to-end electronics architecture across dispensers and connected hardware. You will own system diagrams, interface maps, and documentation guiding global product platforms.

You will partner with Firmware and Software teams to ensure cohesive design, meet regulatory certs, and mentor engineering staff while driving scalable architectures for future platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic, or Computer Engineering.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced roles.
• 8+ years of electronics engineering, embedded systems, or hardware architecture.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end electronics architecture for all product platforms (dispensers, controllers, pedestals, chargers, edge devices, switches).
• Develop diagrams, interface maps, compatibility matrices, and system-level documentation for global and North American variants.
• Lead alignment between Electronics, Firmware, and Software Architects for cohesive design and integration.
• Evaluate limitations and propose architectural improvements; partner with Product Management on roadmaps.
• Mentor teams and ensure safety, regulatory, EMC, and payment certifications are met.
