Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to join project teams in Morristown, NJ, with additional responsibilities at Wallingford, CT. The role covers electrical design for diverse facilities, from concept through construction, adapting plans to budget and client needs.

You will review drawings, perform field measurements, and compile data for client presentations and contract administration. Strong communication and CAD skills are essential; EIT/FE or Master’s is a plus.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 3 years of electrical engineering experience (consulting preferred).
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam completed or in progress; 3 years of electrical engineering experience (consulting preferred).
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 2 years of experience (consulting preferred).
• Strong knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures.

Responsabilités

• Perform electrical design of projects from conceptual phase through design completion.
• Modify and review production drawings for a variety of facilities (power plants, healthcare, airports, education, government).
• Design electrical components per project manager specifications and requirements.
