Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Columbus, OH is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to join project teams delivering design for power, process, healthcare, airports, and government facilities. You will perform electrical design from concept through design completion and update CAD drawings using AutoCAD and MicroStation.

You will collaborate with project managers, support client presentations, and conduct field inspections.

Qualifications

• Requires ABET-accredited degree and 3+ years electrical engineering experience.
• FE exam and/or EIT certification preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; CAD and MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with power, process, healthcare, industrial facilities is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design from concept through design completion.
• Review drawings for varied facilities including power plants and healthcare.
• Design electrical components per project managers' requirements.
• Update CAD drawings using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Support client presentations and contract administration.
• Conduct field inspections and measurements.
• Adhere to policies and standards.
