Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our project teams in the US, delivering designs for power, process, healthcare, and industrial facilities. You will collaborate with architects, owners and other engineers through design and construction phases, updating CAD drawings and supporting fieldwork.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, strong communication, and proficiency with AutoCAD, BIM (Revit), and analysis tools. Occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical engineering experience, consulting preferred.
• Or Bachelor's in mechanical/related engineering tech with FE and 3 years experience.
• Or Master's in mechanical engineering with 2+ years experience.
• Strong knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with CAD/BIM and analysis tools.
• Engineer-in-Training certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform mechanical design from concept through design completion.
• Modify and review production drawings for various facilities.
• Design mechanical components per project manager specifications.
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Research and compile project data for managers.
• Update drawings in CAD software to reflect corrections.
• Prepare client presentations, shop drawings, and contract administration.
• Conduct field inspections and measurements for clients.
• Adhere to all policies and standards.
