Job summary

The Hershey Company is seeking a Staff Electrical & Controls Engineer (Engineer V) to lead design, cost estimation, and implementation of high‑complexity projects in a remote role with travel.

You will develop control systems, specify equipment, and drive digital manufacturing initiatives while collaborating with engineering, operations, and external vendors. A BS in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in food processing, confectionery, or related industries.
• Expert in PLC/PAC programming and motion control.
• Strong knowledge of GMPs, sanitary design and equipment suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Design and cost estimate electrical/controls solutions for capital projects.
• Develop schematics and P&IDs; implement digital manufacturing systems.
• Oversee capital project execution, installation, and startup support.
• Lead digital transformation on the factory floor and mentor peers.
• Ensure cybersecurity and network guidelines compliance.
