Job summary

The Hershey Company is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead design, installation, and commissioning of control systems for medium to high complexity capital projects at Hershey, PA. You will develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing control solutions while ensuring cybersecurity compliance and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities include managing small capital projects, supporting startup, and training teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • PLC/PAC programming (Rockwell, Siemens).
  • HMI/SCADA experience (FactoryTalk, Ignition).
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel (~30%+).

Job Overview

Reporting to the Manager of Controls & Security Tech Solutions, the Senior Controls Engineer will lead the design, selection, installation, and commissioning of control systems and automated equipment for medium to high complexity capital projects.
