Staff Dinning Attendant - State Farm Arena/Levy Restaurants

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour. This is not a tipped position.

Schedule: Part time event-based schedule. Must be able to work nights and weekends. Must be able to work all Hawks home games.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have 1 year or more experience in foodservice or hospitality. An outgoing personality is preferred. The candidate should have the ability to communicate effectively and the ability to problem solve and make decisions with little guidance.

Qualifications:

  1. Stand for long periods of time and be able to actively engage physically with guests.
  2. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  3. React with physical and mental alertness in emergency situations.
  4. Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods of time throughout the day.
  5. Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.

Job Summary:

The Staff Dinning Attendant is responsible for executing family meal area setup and breakdown. The server should understand the content of the menu and ensure the timely delivery of food. Strict following of food safety and guidelines are required. The position executes the culinary event from start to finish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure all food and beverage is properly displayed and maintained throughout the event.
  2. Knowledgeable on all menu offerings.
  3. Responsible for the set up and breakdown of the event that is taking place at the arena.
  4. Establish rapport with guests and understands suggestive and upselling techniques.
  5. Thoroughly completes all event set-up and breakdown responsibilities within timelines provided.
  6. Performs post event product inventory and restocks, as needed.
  7. Maintains service areas.
  8. Communicates directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
  9. Exhibits exceptional communication skills and demonstrates ability to get along well with others. Remains flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.
  10. Promotes a clean, safe and neat environment for guests.
  11. Promptly addresses complaints or issues; relays relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor.
  12. Ensures that the dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period; keeps area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards.
  13. Works with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions.
  14. Performs other duties as assigned.
