Catering Attendant - State Farm Arena/Levy Restaurants

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour. This is not a tipped position.

Schedule: Part-time, event-based schedule. Open availability preferred. Must be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and all Hawks home games.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have 1 year or more experience in foodservice or hospitality. An outgoing personality is preferred. The candidate should communicate effectively, problem-solve, and make decisions with minimal guidance.

• Stand for long periods and actively engage with guests physically.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• React with alertness in emergency situations.
• Demonstrate physical stamina and agility for mobility throughout the day.
• Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.

Job Summary:

The Catering Attendant directs and responds to guest needs, understands menu content, and ensures timely food delivery. Strict adherence to food safety guidelines is required. The role includes executing area setup and breakdown, managing the culinary event from start to finish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure proper display and maintenance of food and beverages during events.
• Have knowledge of all menu offerings.
• Set up and break down event spaces at State Farm Arena.
• Understand menu items and ingredients; advise guests on food and drink pairings; accommodate dietary needs and allergies.
• Coordinate with back-of-the-house staff for accurate order delivery and special requests.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills; remain flexible and patient with guests and staff.
• Handle tickets and follow cash procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and neat environment.
• Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
• Address complaints promptly and report issues to supervisors.
• Prepare the dining area before and after service, ensuring sanitation standards.
• Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Collaborate with other departments during special events.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
