Catering Attendant - State Farm Arena/Levy Restaurants

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour. This is not a tipped position.

Schedule: Part-time, event-based schedule. Open availability preferred. Must be able to work mornings, evenings, and weekends. Must be available for all Hawks home games.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in foodservice or hospitality. An outgoing personality is preferred. Must communicate effectively, problem-solve, and make decisions with minimal guidance.

• Stand for long periods and actively engage with guests physically.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• React quickly and alertly in emergency situations.
• Demonstrate physical stamina and agility to remain mobile throughout the day.
• Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.

Job Summary:

The Catering Attendant is responsible for assisting guests, understanding menu content, and ensuring timely food delivery while following safety guidelines. The role includes setup and breakdown of event areas, executing culinary events from start to finish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Display and maintain food and beverage items properly during events.
• Be knowledgeable about all menu offerings.
• Set up and break down event spaces at State Farm Arena.
• Understand menu items, ingredients, and accommodate guest preferences and dietary restrictions.
• Coordinate with back-of-house staff for accurate order delivery and special requests.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and teamwork, remaining flexible and patient.
• Handle tickets and follow cash procedures correctly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
• Respect confidentiality regarding personal or medical information.
• Address guest complaints promptly and report issues to supervisors.
• Prepare the dining area before and after service, meeting sanitation standards.
• Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee makers.
• Collaborate with other departments during special events.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
