Job summary

PING, Inc. seeks a Staff DFA Process Engineer to develop, install, optimize, and maintain cost-effective manufacturing methods in the Phoenix area. You will lead moderate-scope process improvements and DFA activities across product lines, building Arena simulations and driving DFA builds to completion with data-driven results.

You will own production areas, mentor operators, collaborate with design and IS, and help implement cross-functional improvements while traveling domestically as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or similar field plus 2 years’ relevant engineering experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is the minimum certification requirement.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead moderate-scope continuous improvement projects balancing efficiency, quality, safety and ergonomics.
• Influence design and process decisions for new product introductions and capital purchases.
• Own at least one production area and support others; serve as go-to resource for operators and supervisors.
• Provide DFA and process recommendations and drive implementation with data to support decisions.
• Build Arena simulation models to validate design decisions and identify bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to influence product design and provide DFA feedback during development.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide cross-functional teams toward solutions.
