Job summary

FM Industries is a premier manufacturing solutions provider with Phoenix operations. We seek an experienced engineer to plan, direct, and optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring products meet specifications and schedules.

You will drive process improvements, create parts Master data, and implement DFSS while coordinating with production, engineering, and management to deliver quality results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years of engineering and manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common industrial, manufacturing, and technical procedures, professional journals, schematics, diagrams, drawings, and blueprints.
• Able to write reports, business correspondence, assembly instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to respond to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or other members of the manufacturing community.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Develops, selects, implements, and evaluates engineering techniques and solutions to solve difficult problems and improve manufacturing methods.
• Initiates, recommends, and provides solutions for process optimization to improve reliability and reduce COPQ.
• Ensures all products/processes are designed with the six-sigma philosophy – DFSS.
• Ensures completion of project phases within budgeted time and cost constraints and adherence to standards.
• Communicates with production staff, engineers, and management to achieve goals.
• Monitors process efficiency and material consumption to maximize performance and uptime.
• Creates new part numbers, BOMs, routings, and work centers in the MRP system.
• Develops assembly instructions and ECOs and manages changes to ensure compliance.
