Job summary

Providence Park Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center in Mobile, AL is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator (RN) to lead in‑service education programs and staff development across the facility. The role focuses on developing training, coordinating employee education, and ensuring compliance with nursing policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include orientation for new hires, maintaining training records, and promoting staff engagement through well-communicated programs that improve resident

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed by the State of Alabama.
• Must have two years supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, regulations and guidelines governing long-term care.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude toward the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Direct in-service educational programs in accordance with current federal, state and local standards governing the facility.
• Develop, establish and maintain objectives, policies, procedures and in-service training programs in each department; maintain reports, class attendance records and subject records.
• Coordinate and conduct employee training, in-services and educate staff regarding nursing policies and procedures.
• Assist in new-hire orientations.
• Assist staff in understanding their duties and improving performance by identifying, correcting and improving problem areas and services and encourage staff participation and involvement through proper communication and presentation of programs.

Assist in developing, establishing and maintaining the objectives, policies, procedures and in-service training programs in each department; maintain reports, class attendance records and subject records. Assist in coordinating and conducting employee training, in-services and educating staff regarding nursing policies, and procedures Assist in new-hire orientations. Assist the staff in understanding their duties and improving their performance by identifying, correcting and improving problem areas and services and encourage staff participation and involvement through proper communication and presentation of programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed by the State of Alabama
• Must have two years supervisory previous experience and training staff
• Must have knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulation and guidelines governing long-term care
• Must have good communication skills, both verbally and written
• Must have a positive attitude toward the elderly
