Job summary

Cordova Health and Rehabilitation LLC is seeking a Staff Development Nurse (RN) to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of educational programs for nursing staff in a long-term care facility. You will ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality, resident-centered care, while onboarding and mentoring staff and supporting CNAs with scheduling to maintain optimal resident coverage.

• Current Registered Nurse license in Alabama.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric populations preferred for Staff Development Nurse.
• At least three years of nursing experience.
• Clerical ability to read reports and utilize data accurately.
• Skill in organizing and planning programs and managing personnel to provide nursing service.
• Ability to plan and direct the department, coordinating with other departments.

Position Summary: Staff Development Nurse ( RN )

The Staff Development Nurse (RN) is responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of educational programs for nursing staff within a long-term care/skilled nursing facility. This role ensures staff competency, regulatory compliance, and the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care. The Staff Development Nurse plays a critical role in onboarding, ongoing training, and performance improvement initiatives while supporting a culture of clinical excellence, while also assisting with scheduling for CNAs and nursing staff to ensure appropriate coverage, operational efficiency, and continuity of quality resident care.

Key Responsibilities:
