Job summary

Cherry is seeking a Staff Design Engineer, Design Systems, to own and reimagine Cherry's design system across provider and consumer web and mobile apps, including POS. You will oversee the component library, React codebase, tokens, and documentation, while shaping interaction language and design system governance.

You will collaborate with AI tooling and the AI Enablement team to embed rules into workflows and align with frontend teams in Turkey, ensuring design system excellence across teams.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of experience spanning product design and front-end engineering.
• Expert-level React proficiency.
• Strong opinions on component architecture, testing, and code quality.
• Deep skills in design tooling, including tokens, variants, and design system management.
• Strong visual and interaction design across spacing, motion, hierarchy, and details.
• Fluency with AI-assisted development tools like Claude, Cursor, or Codex.
• Experience building and maintaining a design system used by multiple teams in production.
• Ability to communicate across designers, engineers, and product leaders.

Responsibilities
