Job summary

Horizontal Talent is seeking a senior frontend engineer to shape design systems across mobile and web. You will build reusable UI components, translate Figma designs into production code, and collaborate with design and engineering teams to promote accessibility and consistency across platforms.

You'll own component libraries, design tokens, and governance for enterprise-wide adoption, while mentoring engineers and leading code reviews.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in web and mobile application development with reusable UI frameworks or design systems.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with React Native and ReactJS.
• Experience turning Figma designs into reusable, production-ready components.
• Strong understanding of design tokens, theming, and scalable branding systems.
• Experience developing, testing, and deploying user-facing web and mobile applications.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in Agile, cross-functional, distributed teams.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
• Experience building or maintaining enterprise design systems, shared libraries, or front-end platforms.
• Comfort with performance optimization and platform-specific iOS/Android considerations.

Skills

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with React Native and ReactJS.

• Strong understanding of design tokens, theming, and scalable branding systems.
• Experience developing, testing, and deploying user-facing web and mobile applications.
• Working knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Git, Redux, and React Native Web.
• Familiarity with RESTful JSON APIs.
• Knowledge of C# and .NET technologies.
• Experience in healthcare or digital health environments, including Epic MyChart or similar systems.
• Hands‑on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar technologies.
• Experience supporting design system adoption and governance across multiple product teams.
