Cherry Technologies, Inc. is hiring a remote Staff Product Designer for AI Design Systems. You will lead the design system end-to-end, including the component library, tokens, and documentation, and drive Claude-first workflows across five products.

This is a founding role shaping how AI-powered design operates at scale. You’ll own the system’s design direction, collaborate closely with front-end engineers in the USA, and push for tooling and processes that accelerate speed with quality.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of product design experience.
• Real coding and technical skills, not just familiarity with code.
• Track record guiding visual and interaction decisions across teams.
• Experience improving a design system across teams for scale.
• Strong point of view on design tooling and future toolsets.
• Able to communicate with designers, engineers and product leaders and align teams.
• Leadership instinct to found or lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Founding member of design systems team, with scope over structure and staffing.
• Guide shift to AI-native workflows and adoption of new tools.
• Own the design system end to end: library, tokens, documentation.
• Define design direction and architecture for the system.
• Improve system across teams by addressing structural issues and scaling patterns.
• Lead design influence across teams rather than a single surface.
• Build for Claude-first workflows where Claude AI outputs on-system.
• Shape future design toolsets and collaboration approaches.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers on architecture and code review.
