Job summary

Cherry is hiring a Product Designer to lead the AI-enabled design system, owning the component library, tokens, and documentation. You will drive the system end-to-end, setting the architecture and design direction while coordinating with engineers in the USA to ship high-quality experiences across web and mobile products.

As the founding member, you’ll shape how AI-native workflows are adopted and how the design toolset evolves, ensuring the system scales with the company’s growth.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of product design experience.
• Strong coding skills and ability to ship production code.
• Proven track record guiding design decisions across teams.
• Experience improving a design system at scale.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a founding member of Cherry's design systems team with real say in structure and growth.
• Guide the shift to AI-native workflows and influence tool adoption.
• Own the design system end to end: library, tokens, and documentation.
• Lead design direction, architecture, and code-ready outcomes.
• Collaborate with front-end engineers in the USA on architecture and code review.
• Improve design-engineering communication and reduce workflow friction.
