Job summary

Life360 is hiring a Staff Decision Scientist to lead Advanced Analytics. This role spans multiple operating groups and focuses on forecasting MAU, growth modeling, and causal inference.

You will shape experimentation standards, collaborate with decision scientists and data engineers, and help scale analytics using AI-assisted workflows. You will apply methods across product and marketing, mentor teammates, and translate complex results into actionable leadership guidance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in analytics/data science/decision science at a consumer tech company.
• Strong background in causal inference methods (DiD, IV, RD, synthetic controls).
• Experience owning forecast or growth models (MAU/DAU/subscribers).
• Proficiency in SQL and Python/R for statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own the MAU forecast and growth model, including assumptions and forecast accuracy.
• Lead experimentation standards: design, power, metrics, variance reduction, sequential testing.
• Advance causal inference toolkit with quasi-experimental methods and reusable analyses.
• Set data team standards; review analyses across teams and define best practices.
• Collaborate with Decision Scientists, Data Scientists, Analytics Engineers, and Data Engineers to productionize methods.
