Job summary

Dune is seeking a data platform engineer to architect and scale our distributed data systems. You will define interfaces, model domain workflows, and drive end-to-end ownership of critical data components in a remote-first setup.

You will work across Go, Kotlin, Rust and Python, tackling large-scale ingestion, processing, and storage. Strong CS fundamentals and distributed systems experience are essential for success in a fast-paced, globally distributed team.

Qualifications

• Strong computer science fundamentals and experience with distributed data systems.

Responsibilities

• Turn product requirements into technical requirements and define interfaces and workflows.
• Break large problems into manageable work and ship early.
• Drive architectural decisions across the data platform and own components end-to-end.
• Collaborate across the stack using Go, Kotlin, Rust and Python as appropriate.
• Design for correctness and performance with large-scale ingestion and distributed processing.
• Improve design reviews, testing, and team planning.
• Mentor engineers in a fully distributed team.
