Vercel is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the design and development of a next-generation Data Platform that will power analytics and AI initiatives across our products. You will architect scalable systems, set technical vision, and work across teams to drive data strategy.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in data engineering or data architecture, with leadership experience.
Experience designing and operating large-scale data infrastructures with Kafka, ClickHouse, Snowflake.

Responsibilities

Design and implement a next-generation data platform to support batch and real-time analytics.
Collaborate with engineering, product, and leadership to align data strategy with product goals.
Define data ingestion, modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing for low-latency analytics.
Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence and governance.
Partner with Security, Compliance, and Legal to ensure data protection and availability.
