Job summary

Cribl is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to lead the Data Engineering team. You will shape architecture, mentor engineers, and own data systems including the Snowflake environment. This role sits at the intersection of analytics, data science, and operational decision-making in a remote-first culture.

You will drive the modern data stack, manage cost and performance at scale, and contribute to AI/LLM workflows integration. A strong background in Python, SQL, and cloud/IaC practices is essential.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Snowflake: data modeling, warehouse performance tuning, and security design.
• Strong Python and SQL fundamentals with solid ELT and data modeling experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams and setting technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical lead for Cribl's Data Engineering team and own architecture for core data systems.
• Mentor and grow junior engineers; drivedbt practice and warehouse cost/performance at scale.
• Build, operate, and monitor data pipelines, ingestion services, and the data warehouse with observability.
