Zusammenfassung

Life360 is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to scale our data infrastructure to support a product used by millions of families globally. You will own end-to-end pipelines from raw event ingestion to clean, modeled datasets in our Databricks Lakehouse, powering analytics, product decisions, and partner integrations.

The role emphasizes AI-native tooling and collaboration across analytics, data science, and engineering teams. We rely on AWS, Databricks, Kafka, S3, Kinesis, and MWAA for orchestration.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of experience with high-volume data infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Databricks and AWS data services.
• Proficient in SQL and Python.
• AI-native mindset; experience with AI tools in development.
• Experience with data quality frameworks and CI/CD.
• BS in CS, Engineering, Math or equivalent hands-on.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently.

Aufgaben

• Design and manage scalable data platforms powering real-time analytics and batch processing.
• Own ingestion, ETL, storage, and serving with AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery.
• Ingest data from diverse sources via streaming and batch pipelines; unify for querying.
• Architect data models (Bronze/Silver/Gold) in Databricks.
• Automate and harden data workflows with AI-augmented tests and checks.
• Build AI-ready tooling and chatbots to help non-technical users query data.
