Ladders is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to shape the data platform at scale, driving analytics and operational decision-making for a consumer technology leader.

The role partners with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into reliable data systems, mentors teams, and champions AI-assisted best practices while improving performance, reliability, and development workflows.

Competenze

• 8+ years of experience building data or backend systems with cross-team leadership.
• Expertise in AI-assisted software development.
• Proficiency in Python for data pipelines and maintainable production software.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud data warehousing, such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
• Experience with containers, orchestration tools, preferably Airflow, and IaC tools like Terraform.
• Familiarity with K8s, Kafka, and streaming data pipelines.
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

• Build relationships with technical and non-technical partners to support their goals.
• Architect and build scalable data platforms for analytics and operational needs.
• Champion AI-assisted self-service analytics and development practices.
