Job summary

tem is rebuilding the energy transaction landscape and hiring a Staff Data Analyst. You will be embedded in the commercial team, owning core metrics such as conversion rate, contracted volume, total sales, and margins, and you’ll forecast, report, and provide actionable insights to drive business decisions.

You’ll tackle ambiguous questions, turn analysis into recommendations, and help the team self-serve insights.

Qualifications

• Solid SQL skills and ability to investigate complex datasets.
• Experience developing forecasts or scenario models and explaining drivers.
• Ability to translate ambiguous questions into defined analytical problems and present clear recommendations.
• Proven ability to build trusted metrics from messy data.
• Experience in energy/fintech or similar data-heavy sector.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pipeline & revenue forecast accuracy.
• Define/report forecast accuracy vs annual targets.
• Diagnose CRM data quality issues affecting reliability.
• Perform commercial analysis to support sales and leadership decisions.
• Identify trends/risks in the pipeline before forecast impacts.
• Translate data findings into clear, actionable stakeholder recommendations.
• Work with commercial teams to define metrics and definitions.
• Turn complex data into compelling narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
• Promote wider data adoption across the team.
