What We Do

Vanguard Conversion and Fulfillment (VCF) is a leading third-party converting and fulfillment company, offering custom converting solutions to B2B and B2C clients. Our converting capabilities include slitting, laminating, sheeting, and printing for a range of industries, including packaging, automotive, construction, garment decoration, home décor, and more. With state-of-the-art equipment and a highly experienced team, we deliver custom, scalable, and cost-efficient solutions that help our clients optimize their operations and improve product quality.

What You'll Be Doing

Our growing and stable organization is looking for Staff Accountant, including some Cost Accounting tasks, for Vanguard Conversion & Fulfillment. The right individual will possess a strong work ethic, and the willingness to roll up their sleeves, step in and help get the job done. The position will be responsible for accessing multiple ERP systems to perform job duties. This position reports to the Controller. A professional and cooperative attitude is a must. The ability to work independently and seek out answers to problems and questions will be key in this role.

Staff Accounting Tasks

• Reconcile assigned or delegated balance sheet accounts monthly
• Record weekly and monthly accruals and journal entries
• Adhere to the corporate month end close schedule
• Create, maintain and update schedules used for month end and annual audit
• Daily bank reporting and tracking
• Reconcile bank activity and statements for multiple entities
• Intercompany journal entries and reconciliations
• Manage corporate travel credit cards and reporting
• Run, tie out and process intercompany payment reports (e.g. sales, royalties, tax and other as requested)
• Assist in Yead-End package, 1099 NEC Filings, & financial statement analysis
• Assist and support Controllers (financial statement analysis, budgeting/forecasting)
• Backup and assist with other transactional process duties as needed (e.g. AP/AR)
• Contribute to Accounting projects and initiatives

Cost Accounting Tasks

• Manage all Bill of Material and Routing steps
• Maintain all standard costs and update as needed
• Analyze inventory variances, including purchase price variance and manufacturing variance
• Develop and maintain cost models for new products and operational changes

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with Sage Fixed Assets or a similar system
• ERP experience with Great Plains helpful
• Advanced MS Excel & Power BI & MS Office user
• Must possess the highest degree of integrity and be of strong moral character
• Highly detail-oriented and organized & coachable

Education & Experience

• Bachelors degree - Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role
