Job summary

Netskope is seeking a Staff Engineer for the Client team to design, implement, and enhance cloud backend software for Netskope Cloud Security solutions. You will tackle challenging security problems for enterprise customers.

This role requires 10+ years in cloud security or security software, strong Golang/Python/Node.js skills, and hands-on Kubernetes. You will collaborate with product and QA to deliver reliable, scalable features.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience developing cloud security or security software.
• Strong programming in Go, Python and Node.js.
• Experience designing APIs in scalable distributed environments.
• Hands-on with containers and Kubernetes deployments.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTPS and TLS.
• Knowledge of cryptographic techniques and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Familiar with agentic coding systems like Claude Code, Pi and Codex.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis for distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Build service technologies enabling CASB and Next Gen Secure Web Gateway solutions.
• Write high-throughput code using modern development techniques.
• Analyze requirements and design scalable, reliable features.
• Collaborate with Product Management to understand customer needs.
• Write and run dev tests for modules; assist QA testing.
