Job summary

Datasite seeks a Staff Infrastructure Architect to own multi-cloud architecture and Kubernetes platform strategy across a product-led engineering organization of ~250 engineers. This is an individual-contributor role with broad technical influence, focusing on high availability, IaC, and cross-cloud workload planning in AWS, GCP, and Azure.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of infrastructure or platform engineering with architecture ownership.
• Experience with two major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong Kubernetes platform experience at scale.
• IaC with Terraform or similar tools.
• Ability to anticipate capacity and prevent blockers.
• Experience with M&A technical due diligence.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-cloud architecture across AWS, GCP, and Azure, including workload placement, networking, resilience, and platform design.
• Own Kubernetes architecture at scale, including cluster topology, multi-cluster and multi-cloud strategy, scheduling, autoscaling, and multi-tenancy.
• Design and validate multi-region, multi-AZ, failover, and disaster recovery patterns to meet a 99.95% uptime target.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to translate roadmap and scaling needs into infrastructure plans.
• Lead technical due diligence for acquisitions and develop integration blueprints and migration plans.
• Mentor senior and Staff-level engineers on architecture and system design; evaluate AI tooling for infra automation.
