Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Staff Business Data Analyst on the Modern Ops Expert Planning team in San Diego. You will shape optimized headcount and capacity plans for the Consumer Group, balancing customer experience, employee experience, and cost efficiency.

You’ll align with Director+ stakeholders, drive KPI frameworks, and standardize planning processes across products and channels. You will also lead cross-functional partnerships, leverage AI/GenAI and BI tools for forecasting, and mentor junior

Qualifications

• 5+ years in capacity planning, workforce management, or labor modeling.
• 3+ years in program or project management with cross-functional delivery.
• Advanced Excel and SQL; working knowledge of Redshift, Spark, Tableau, Qlik.
• Demonstrated ability to define KPI frameworks and model capacity scenarios.
• Strong storytelling and communication across stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring or developing junior analysts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and own optimized headcount, hiring, and capacity planning frameworks across Consumer Group (TurboTax / TurboTax Live).
• Lead capacity risk identification and mitigation across multiple initiatives and dependencies.
• Develop KPI frameworks; standardize metrics, reporting, and decision infrastructure.
• Partner with internal tech teams to implement planning tools, data enhancements, automation.
• Lead operational impact assessments for product and channel launches; integrate into long-term capacity plans.
• Build and maintain end-to-end resource and delivery plans with cross-functional teams.
• Operate AI/GenAI and BI tools to solve planning outcomes.
• Lead process and reporting standardization and document the end-to-end scaling vision.
• Mentor junior analysts on technical execution, storytelling, and stakeholder influence.
