Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development in enterprise/web/cloud applications.
• 5+ years backend development with Java, Spring Boot and Kafka.
• 3+ years distributed caching experience.
• 3+ years in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure; GCP preferred).
• 3+ years designing, developing and operating microservices in cloud-native environments.
• 3+ years of technical lead experience in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement scalable, cloud-native services using container orchestration and CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply advanced software engineering practices across the full SDLC, including DDD, design patterns, testing, and observability.
• Troubleshoot and lead resolution of complex distributed system issues and data consistency challenges.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and business stakeholders to define roadmaps and KPIs.
• Design and enforce resiliency patterns like circuit breakers, bulkheads, retries, and service discovery.
• Build real-time streaming data pipelines with Kafka or Pub/Sub and CDC frameworks.
• Collaborate to deliver cost-optimized, scalable cloud solutions and modernization efforts.
• Own reliability, performance, and lifecycle of platforms including production support and SRE principles.
• Mentor engineers and establish engineering standards.
