CVS Health Digital is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer who will function as both Technical Lead and Individual Contributor to help build our next‑generation platform and deliver use cases into products that empower people to live healthier lives.

This role emphasizes scalable design, code quality, and collaboration with architects, engineers, and business partners to drive delivery excellence and resolve complex issues.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise solutions in large-scale distributed environments.
• 5+ years of Java development experience.
• 5+ years of cloud initiatives and cloud computing technologies.
• 5+ years designing modern microservices and APIs.
• 3+ years of CI/CD pipeline automation.
• 3+ years of Agile development environments.
• 2+ years of Agentic AI / Generative AI experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable solutions meeting business requirements and quality standards.
• Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions with architects and senior engineers.
• Provide input on feasibility, performance and scalability to meet objectives.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure alignment and technical insight.
• Adopt best practices and new technologies to improve productivity and code quality.
• Share knowledge through code reviews, talks, and workshops.
• Work with developers to implement features and ensure high-quality code.
• Mentor junior developers to grow their skills.
