Bestow is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to guide IPC services architecture on our cloud-native platform. You’ll shape technical direction, own reliability, and scale backend systems supporting carrier onboarding and product launches.

You’ll influence across teams in a remote-first, async setting, delivering robust Python/Go solutions and mentoring peers to high-quality standards. You’ll establish SLOs, improve observability, and drive AI-assisted coding practices to accelerate delivery while

Formación

• 8+ years of backend software development experience at Staff or Senior level.
• Strong proficiency in Go and Python; Java experience is a plus.
• Deep experience with distributed systems, microservices, and API design.

Responsabilidades

• Own the IPC services architecture, balancing delivery speed with maintainability.
• Design, build, and operate backend services using Python + PostgreSQL, Go, and a Java-based Drools rules engine.
• Lead cross-team technical initiatives to plan and execute integration across the platform.
• Drive platform capabilities to scale with Bestow’s partner ecosystem (carrier onboardings, product launches).
• Mentor engineers through code/design reviews and pairing to raise technical quality.
• Ensure production reliability by defining SLOs, improving observability, and handling on-call duties.
• Use agentic AI coding tools as a core part of the workflow and promote AI-assisted development practices.
• Communicate technical decisions and status clearly in writing in a remote-first, async environment.
