Reach Security is seeking a Staff Backend Software Engineer to drive development of core backend systems—APIs, data pipelines, databases and platform infrastructure.

The role emphasizes Python, system design, data modeling and building multi-tenant SaaS with scalable, secure data architectures. You’ll own critical components and help establish engineering best practices in a fully remote, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in backend software engineering.
• Strong Python and CS fundamentals required.
• Experience designing APIs and scalable data pipelines.
• Proficiency with relational or distributed databases and data modeling.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architectures and security considerations.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex backend projects focusing on APIs, data processing, infrastructure and platform.
• Drive execution of key engineering initiatives.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence and best practices.
• Be self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Author technical proposals to align teams on designs for complex projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with minimal downtime.
