Job summary

The Vault is an MPC-based crypto custody platform scaling toward Series A. We are hiring a Staff-level backend engineer to design, build, and own high-load multi-tenant services with strong security and governance controls.

Expect leadership across RFCs, design reviews, and code, plus end-to-end ownership from design through production. Fully remote across any time zone with overlap for EU/CIS hours and generous equity participation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of backend engineering experience with ownership of production systems.
• 3+ years at Staff level or equivalent senior IC scope.
• Strong CS fundamentals in concurrency, distributed systems and networking.
• Proven track record building high-load multi-tenant SaaS with HA and SLOs.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and ship platform components including policy engine and signing orchestration.
• Own features end-to-end from RFCs through observability and on-call.
• Mentor senior engineers and drive architectural RFCs and reviews.
