Job summary

Prospex CRM is seeking a senior backend engineer to help build and scale a custody platform, reporting to the Custody Platform Lead. You’ll own subsystems like signing, key management, and cross-chain integrations, collaborating with the cryptography team on threshold signing and recovery flows.

Remote-friendly globally with relocation to Riyadh optional. Expect strong emphasis on async communication, architecture improvements, and production-grade fintech discipline.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with 2+ years on custody or key management at a regulated entity.
• Hands-on with HSMs, MPC/TSS, or threshold signing schemes.
• Production experience with Bitcoin and Ethereum, plus at least one non-EVM chain.
• Strong written English communication for async design and PR discussions.

Responsibilities

• Ship production custody code across signing service, key management, and chain integrations.
• Own a subsystem within 3 months with end-to-end ownership.
• Collaborate with cryptography team on threshold signing and key recovery flows.
• Write post-mortems and treat failures as architecture-improvement opportunities.
• Engage in async documentation and design reviews.
