Coinbase is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the FinHub - Transfers team. You will own architectural direction for fund movements across crypto and fiat rails and lead cross-functional initiatives with Payments, Trading, and product teams.

You will drive backend infrastructure evolution using modern cloud-native patterns, identify scaling bottlenecks, and mentor engineers across levels to uphold high standards of financial integrity and reliability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Deep expertise in backend programming (Go, Ruby, Python, or Java) and cloud-native architecture.
• Track record delivering reliable financial or high-throughput systems.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and mentoring engineers.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflows.
