Job summary

BUNNELL LAMMONS ENGINEERING is seeking an Engineering Staff Associate to join our Geotechnical Group. The role focuses on environmental, civil, geotechnical, and construction material testing disciplines, with travel to project sites and supervision by senior staff.

You will develop foundational skills, gain hands-on experience, and work toward professional licensure while supporting a diverse project portfolio for municipal, industrial, residential, and commercial clients.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of progressively responsible professional experience in relevant fields.
• Currently in progress towards obtaining Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Geologist-in-Training (GIT) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical analyses, calculations, and design for site development, foundation design, retaining walls, earthwork, and pavements.
• Utilize engineering software and tools for design, modeling, and data analysis (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GeoStudio, gINT, Tablogs).
• Perform site investigations, field inspections, and data collection to support project objectives.
• Draft exploration reports for review by senior professionals.
• Develop and apply foundational knowledge in environmental regulations, civil design principles, geotechnical investigations, and construction material testing under direct supervision.
• Assist in client communication and maintain professional demeanor.

Education

Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related field of study from an ABET-accredited institution.
