Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Staff Associate to join our geotechnical group.

The role supports diverse projects across environmental, civil, geotechnical, and construction-materials testing disciplines, with mentorship from senior staff to help you develop practical skills and move toward professional licensure. You will contribute to field and office tasks, assist with data collection, reporting, and coordination with project teams, while pursuing EIT/GIT

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related ABET-accredited program.
• 0–2 years of progressively responsible professional experience in relevant fields.
• Currently in progress towards Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Geologist-in-Training (GIT) certification.
• Willingness to travel regularly to local and regional project sites (typically within South Carolina and surrounding states), including overnight stays, with adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical analyses, calculations, and design for engineering projects including site development, foundations, retaining walls, earthwork, and pavements.
• Utilize engineering software and tools for design, modeling, and data analysis (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GeoStudio, gINT, Tablogs).
• Perform site investigations, field inspections, and data collection to support project objectives.
• Draft exploration reports for review by senior professionals.
