Job summary

Boeing Employees Credit Union (BECU) is seeking a Staff Architect to shape scalable, secure technology solutions across cloud, infrastructure, applications, and governance, aligning with strategic direction and regulatory expectations.

You will lead architecture governance, review boards, and partner with teams to drive cloud and security excellence while mentoring junior architects and applying AI tools responsibly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in designing and delivering complex technology architectures.
• LEAN/Agile/Scrum certification and SAFe experience preferred.
• Cloud-native tech, security, risk management, and modern hosting knowledge.
• Microsoft infrastructure knowledge and integration of supplier tech.

Responsibilities

• Shape Enterprise Solutions aligned with strategic objectives and compliance.
• Strengthen Application Portfolio Management and governance.
• Lead Architecture governance including ARB and CAD activities.
• Drive Cloud and infrastructure architecture with focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Own and review complex architecture work across multiple projects.
• Embed security and regulatory considerations in designs.
• Apply AI tools like GitHub Copilot responsibly.
• Identify long-term business value from new technologies.
• Evaluate and integrate third-party software into the enterprise.
• Mentor junior architects and collaborate with teams.
