Job summary

BECU is seeking a Staff Architect to shape scalable, secure technology solutions aligned with our strategic direction. You’ll lead across cloud, infrastructure, applications, governance, security, and AI-enabled tools to deliver lasting member value.

You’ll mentor teams, collaborate with technology leaders, and ensure architecture standards and compliance are embedded in all initiatives. This role supports remote work within approved locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Typically requires 7 years of experience designing and implementing technology architectures.

Responsibilities

• Shape Enterprise Solutions: lead development of architectures aligned with objectives, blueprints, and compliance.
• Strengthen Application Portfolio Management: govern and evolve application portfolio and tech decisions.
• Lead Architecture Governance: participate in architecture governance, reviews, and gates.
• Drive Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture: provide expertise across cloud, infra, networking with Azure focus.
• Own Complex Architecture Work: manage multiple efforts, document and challenge designs.

Education
